Innovation Case Work

Relating theory and practice is an integrated part of the study programme, and in close connection with the courses offered the 2nd semester includes joint case-work on innovation. This requires that you work as a team with a concrete tourism-related development project, for example the construction of a new type of tourist attraction. The joint case-work involves both marketing, organisational and policy dimensions, e.g. product development, market communication and considerations regarding environmental sustainability – and takes you all the way from brainstorming via field work and project development to issues regarding the practical implementation. The semester’s project writing takes the joint casework as its starting point, and interdisciplinary approach is maintained all through the semester.
